Dr. Julio Rosenstock, MD

Julio Rosenstock, MD, received his medical degree from the University of Costa Rica School of Medicine. He completed fellowships in endocrinology and diabetes at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School at Hammersmith Hospital in London and at the University of Texas Southwestern Center in Dallas. He is board certified in internal medicine and in endocrinology and metabolism.

Dr Rosenstock is associated with the Dallas Diabetes and Endocrine Center, an endocrine practice and clinical research facility. He is also a clinical professor of Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. His current main interest is early insulin intervention with combination strategies to reach glycemic targets in type 2 diabetes mellitus. He has more than 130 publications, including peer-reviewed papers, reviews and numerous abstracts and has also contributed to eight clinics and book chapters on various topics in the field of diabetes. He is actively involved in diabetes education as an advisory board member of CADRE. He is an editorial board member of Practical Diabetology and Cardiovascular Diabetology.
